Five Nights at Freddy’s 3? Really? – February 1st 2014

Five Nights at Freddy’s 3? Really? – February 1st 2014

It’s safe to say that the fnaf series has been a complete success, the first game was great, and the second game just the same, literally. The second game added a few more features and removed a couple other ones. Not exactly a full sequel is it?
The trailer for fnaf 3 has come out recently and after watching it a few times and looking at some official screenshots from Scott himself, the game already looks like there’s nothing much new. First let’s talk about the office, time you can assume we will be in an office again because of the picture of the office that we see in the trailer and official screenshots. The office looks different itself, but it is still the same concept of being in a room. The office in fnaf 3 looks almost like something from “Half-Life 2” that you see going through the tunnels, creepier I’ll give it that.

The animatronics, or should I say animatronic in this game looks no different, and yes it is speculated that there is only one animatronic in fnaf 3 as of right now. Leading me to suspect that this animatronic is a fast and sneaky one. I personally do not think that 1 animatronic is going to do the game any good, but I’d like to see Scott prove me wrong. The one thing I do notice is that in the image showing the security camera, there is foxy there as well, with a light in his eye, also in the image showing the new animatronic in its jump scare, in the background there is what looks to be, a dismantled Freddy. Now that does not mean that they will be active in the game, but it does mean that there is already more the 1 animatronic in the game.

I think the gameplay will be the same, Scott does have quite a few limitations due to the engine he creates the games in, it is based in 2D so that it can be played on mobile devices as well, but if he were to experiment with new engines, there could be amazing potential with other add-ons.
There is no confirmed release date for fnaf 3, there was speculation of it being released February the 5th but that was debunked by Scott on the steam page for fnaf 3:
“…I want to take a second to debunk a rumor that the game will be released on February 5th, however. ;) Although I've made a lot of progress on the game, there is still a LOT of work to be done. I'm working hard to make a great game for all of you so try to be patient.” Said Scott Cawthon

No matter what, the internet will still go crazy for this game, as it is already #1 on steam greenlight it no doubt has a ton of backing. I will be purchasing fnaf 3 as well, and I am sure it will be still a great game! If there is ever an fnaf 4, it would be nice to a great re-vamp of the engine, allowing many more great ways to spend those precarious five nights at Freddy’s.
